To determine what is expected of you regarding data management, privacy, and ethics within the framework of your research, click the “Start Roadmap” button below. You will then be presented with a series of Yes/No questions. You will find a detailed explanation for each question. After completing the questionnaire, you can download a PDF file containing your requirements package. This file will also be sent to you via email. Important:

1. The series of questions is method-specific. If you use multiple methods within your research, you must go through the Guide for each of those methods separately. Example: You are going to interview teachers and students and you are going to scrape data from social media. These are two different methods, so you must go through the Guide twice.
2. If you work with different participant groups within one and the same method, you only answer No if the answer is no for all participant groups. Example: If you are going to ask the students sensitive questions in interviews but not the teachers, this means that you are indeed going to collect sensitive data within the ‘interviews’ method. You therefore answer the relevant question with Yes.
